About me
I am a Licensced Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in Los Angeles, CA. Since beginning my journey to become an LCSW, I have always been committed to addressing mental health as it impacts the individual, family, community, and larger society. I believe that our wellness is impacted by the micro and the macro — what is going on in our individual experience and what is going on in the world.
I graduated in 2017 from UC Berkeley with a Masters in Social Work, with a focus on mental health counseling for youth with complex trauma histories. Following my return to Los Angeles, and after two years of counseling at a public high school, I found myself working closely with students affected by the juvenile justice system where I was struck by the pervasiveness of mental illness in carceral and houseless communities. I then began working as an LCSW for the Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) within LA County’s Department of Health Services, managing mental health diversion programs for houseless folks who are navigating severe mental illness. In 2020, I had the opportunity as the Mental Health and Wellness Director for College Track Boyle Heights, to build out a wellness program in order provide mental health services to first generation, low-income youth. Today, in addition to my private practice, I provide theraputic services through APLA (Aids Project LA) to the LGBTQIA+ community.
